Reduced-fat hot chocolate

Boost hot chocolate with a zesty twist: orange rind for a citrusy kick!
Ingredients:
  • 1 orange, washed, dried
  • 1030.00 gm reduced-fat milk
  • 200g good-quality dark chocolate, broken into squares
Instructions:
  • Peel off 4 long strips of orange rind using a vegetable peeler, then carefully remove the white pith from the rind using a sharp knife.
  • In a saucepan over gentle heat, warm milk for 3 to 4 minutes. Take off heat and stir in chocolate until melted and mixture is smooth, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Stir in the orange rind and simmer gently. Cook for 5 minutes until hot (avoid boiling). Remove and discard the orange rind. Pour the hot chocolate into heatproof glasses. Serve.
