Tangy mandarin orange salad with gorgonzola, toasted almonds, and sweet poppy seed dressing.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup canola oil
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag mixed salad greens
  • 1 (8 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 0.5 cup grape tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup toasted sliced almonds
  • 0.25 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
  • 0.25 cup chopped green onions
Instructions:
  • In a jar, mix canola oil, sugar, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, onion, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, garlic, and paprika. Seal the jar and shake vigorously until the dressing is thoroughly combined.
  • In a large bowl, combine salad greens with half of the dressing, tossing to coat. Top with mandarin oranges, grape tomatoes, almonds, Gorgonzola cheese, and green onions.
