Creamy potato soup with bacon, sausage, kale in a rich chicken broth.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package smoked sausage
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 0.75 cup chopped onion
  • 1.5 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 quart water
  • 2 tablespoons chicken soup base
  • 2 potatoes, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 2 cups kale - washed, dried, and shredded
  • 0.33333334326744 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions:
  • Heat up the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Arrange the sausage links on a sheet pan and bake for 25 minutes until cooked through. Slice each link in half lengthwise, then cut into 1/2-inch angled slices.
  • In a large saucepan, cook the bacon and onion over medium heat until the onion is almost translucent. Remove the bacon, crumble it, and set aside.
  • Sauté garlic with onion in the pan for about 1 minute. Then, stir in water, chicken soup base, and potatoes. Let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Combine crispy crumbled bacon, savory sausage, fresh kale, and rich cream in a pot. Let it simmer for around 5 minutes, then enjoy your delicious dish.
