Rice cooked in flavorful chicken broth enhances any meat, poultry, or fish dish. Delicious and versatile!
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 1.5 cups chicken broth
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 0.25 cup sliced almonds
Instructions:
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter until it sizzles. Add onion and saute until tender. Stir in rice, raisins, broth, salt, and pepper, and bring to a vigorous boil.
  • Simmer covered on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed. Add almonds before serving.
