Elevate classic cookies with the surprise twist of peanut butter chips.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • Granulated sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer or a spoon to blend together brown sugar, peanut butter, butter, and egg until smooth and creamy. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, then mix in the peanut butter chips.
  • Roll the dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and coat the tops with granulated sugar. Place the sugared balls on an ungreased cookie sheet, spacing them about 3 inches apart with the sugared side facing up. Do not flatten them.
  • Bake the cookies until lightly browned, which should take about 9 to 10 minutes. Let them cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
