Total Time:
Indulge in a unique grape pie, where cooked grape goodness meets sugar, flour, and butter in a flaky crust. Top with a lattice crust and bake to golden perfection. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a luxurious treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups seedless grapes
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Start by gently rinsing plump, fully ripened grapes. Next, separate the juicy pulp from the skins. Cook the pulp in a saucepan over medium heat until it becomes tender. Press the cooked pulp through a sieve for a smooth texture. Finally, mix the sieved pulp with the grape skins for a delicious combination.
  • Combine the flour and sugar, then mix into the grape mixture. Blend in the melted butter and transfer to a 9-inch pie shell. Top with pastry strips and create a lattice design if preferred.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C and bake for approximately 25 minutes.
