Roasted Rutabaga

Tender rutabaga chunks roasted with oil and spice blend, for a sweet and savory delight.
Ingredients:
  • 1 rutabaga, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, or more to taste
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried basil, or to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried oregano, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C, placing the rack in the center.
  • Place rutabaga in a large resealable plastic bag, add olive oil, and shake well to coat. Add salt, sugar, basil, and oregano to the bag, and gently shake to evenly distribute the spices. Transfer coated rutabaga to a nonstick baking sheet.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 40 minutes until tender and golden, stirring halfway through.
