Roasted rutabaga glazed in butter, brown sugar, and soy sauce for a sweet Asian twist on a classic root veggie.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar, or to taste
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 large rutabaga, peeled and cubed
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet, gently melt butter over low heat. Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Mix in water and soy sauce, raise heat to medium-high, and bring to a boil. Add chopped rutabaga and return to boil.
  • Simmer on low heat, uncovered, stirring often, until liquid is absorbed, approximately 45 minutes.
