Roasted wombok with sesame dressing

Transform cabbage into a silky, sweet side dish by roasting it – try this delicious roasted wombok recipe!
Ingredients:
  • 900g chinese cabbage
  • 18.40 gm vegetable oil
  • 10.60 gm soy sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, thinly sliced
  • 6.00 gm sesame seeds
  • 61.88 gm Japanese-style mayonnaise
  • 12.00 gm tahini
  • 2 tsp rice wine vinegar
  • Thinly sliced green onion, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Lay wombok on tray, then combine oil and soy sauce. Pour mixture over wombok. Roast for 15-20 minutes until golden and tender, adding garlic and half of sesame seeds halfway through bake time.
  • Combine mayonnaise, tahini, vinegar, 1 tablespoon water, and the rest of the sesame seeds in a bowl, whisk until smooth. Drizzle over cabbage, sprinkle with green onion, season with salt and pepper, and serve.
