Savor these juicy turkey and apple meatloaves with Progresso® bread crumb, topped with a savory gravy made with Progresso® chicken broth - a delectable Italian dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 lb ground turkey breast
  • 1 cup shredded peeled apple (1 medium)
  • 1/2 cup Progresso™ plain bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh sage leaves
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup Progresso™ reduced-sodium chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • 1 tablespoon light stick butter
  • 1 large sweet onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F and lightly coat a broiler pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine turkey, apple, bread crumbs, sage, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and pepper. Shape the mixture into 6 oval loaves and place them on the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 25 minutes without covering until the meat thermometer reads 165°F when inserted in the center of the loaves.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, bring cider and broth to a boil; simmer for about 20 minutes until it reduces to 1 cup. In a large nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat and cook the onion for 10 minutes until golden brown; set aside. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch, water, and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt; add to the reduced cider mixture and cook until slightly thickened. Stir in the onion, then serve the meatloaves with the gravy.
