Salmon pasties

Savory salmon pastries, perfect for snacking or a light meal. Enjoy with sweet chili or tangy sour cream.
Ingredients:
  • 415g can pink salmon, drained, flaked
  • 425g can Baby potatoes, drained, chopped
  • 125.00 ml frozen peas
  • 275.00 gm Alfredo pasta sauce
  • 4 sheets frozen shortcrust pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tsp poppy seeds (optional)
  • Salad, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 190C or 170C fan and line an oven tray with non-stick baking paper. Mix together salmon, potatoes, peas, and sauce in a bowl, then season to taste.
  • Cut 2 x 14cm rounds from each sheet of pastry using a saucer as a guide. Spoon filling onto the rounds, then fold the pastry over the filling, pressing to seal the edges.
  • Coat with beaten egg, sprinkle with poppy seeds, and place on a baking sheet. Bake for around 20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm with a side of salad.
