Decadent whoopie pies with devil's food cake cookies and salted caramel filling.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
  • 1/2 cup caramel topping
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F and prepare your cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to combine cookie ingredients on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to medium speed for 2 minutes. Drop batter by 2 tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until firm. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling racks. Finish cooling completely for about 15 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer on medium speed to blend butter, marshmallow creme, caramel topping, salt, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and continue to beat for 5 minutes.
  • Spread a luscious 2 tablespoons of filling on the bottom of one cookie, then sandwich with another cookie, gently pressing together. Keep these delightful treats covered in the refrigerator for later enjoyment.
