Salted miso brownies

Decadent fudgy brownies with chia seeds for a unique texture, enriched with white miso and salt for a salted caramel-like flavor. Uniquely special and indulgent.
Ingredients:
  • 4½ tablespoons milled chia seeds
  • 150 g flavourless coconut oil
  • 250 g vegan dark chocolate (85%) broken into small pieces
  • 420 g light brown Muscovado sugar
  • 120 g plain flour
  • 3½ tablespoons white miso
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C fan/200°C/400°F/gas 6 and line a 20cm x 22cm cake tin with greaseproof paper. Combine milled chia seeds and water in a small bowl. Melt coconut oil and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in sugar, flour, miso, and salt flakes. Fold in soaked chia seeds, then transfer the mixture to the lined tin, shake gently to distribute. Bake on the middle shelf for 45 minutes. Let cool completely, then cut into 16 squares.
