Indulge in decadent salted turtle cupcakes made with Betty Crocker™ cake mix - a must-try for chocolate enthusiasts!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 bag (14 oz) caramels, unwrapped
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 3 tubs (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Dark Chocolate Frosting
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sea salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line 24 regular-size muffin cups with baking cups.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer on low speed to combine cake mix, buttermilk, oil, and eggs for 30 seconds. Increase speed to medium and beat for 2 minutes, scraping the bowl occasionally. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Cool completely for 30 minutes.
  • Melt caramels with whipping cream in a 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until fully melted. Allow the mixture to cool for 5 minutes. Transfer the caramel mixture into a medium resealable plastic bag, cut off a tiny corner of the bag, and twist the top. Insert the tip of the bag halfway into the center of each cupcake and squeeze gently to fill with caramel.
  • Top cupcakes generously with creamy frosting, then elegantly drizzle with the luscious remaining caramel sauce. Finish with a beautiful sprinkle of crunchy pecans and a touch of sea salt for the perfect balance of flavors and textures.
