Elevate sausages by baking them in savory tomato sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 8 Gourmet lean beef sausages
  • 1 red onion, cut into wedges
  • 2 green capsicums, seeded, cut into large pieces
  • 400g can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves
  • 1/4 tsp dried garlic
  • 420g can cannellini beans, rinsed, drained
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Brown sausages in a large non-stick frying pan with oil over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Transfer the browned sausages to a sturdy baking dish.
  • Place the onion and capsicum generously around the sausages. Drizzle the tomato sauce on top and generously sprinkle with oregano and garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bake for 40 minutes or until the capsicum and onion are tender.
  • Incorporate the cannellini beans.
