Make a delicious sausage and mushroom pide for a quick and fun homemade dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 2 Italian Style Pork Sausages, casings removed
  • 400g Cole Turkish Pide
  • 120g garlic
  • 80g mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup sliced white mushrooms
  • 10g baby spinach leaves
  • 1 long red chilli, thinly sliced (optional)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C and prepare a large baking tray by lining it with baking paper.
  • In a frying pan over medium heat, heat half of the oil. Add the sausage and cook while breaking it up with a wooden spoon for 5 mins, until browned and nearly cooked through. Transfer to a heatproof bowl using a slotted spoon.
  • Lay the pide on the lined tray, generously spread with hommus, then layer with mozzarella, sausage, and mushroom. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the mozzarella is melted and the pide is heated through.
  • Garnish with fresh spinach and a sprinkle of chili, if desired. Cut into serving pieces before enjoying.
