Savor a hearty breakfast with this flavorful sausage and hash brown casserole layered with eggs and gooey Cheddar cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound hot pork sausage
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt, divided
  • 0.5 (30 ounce) package frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9-inch square baking dish or a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate.
  • Brown and crumble sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.
  • Combine milk, eggs, and 1 teaspoon of salt, then whisk until smooth in a bowl.
  • Move the cooked sausage to a large bowl. Mix in hash browns, Cheddar, pepper, and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt. Spread the mixture evenly in the baking dish and pour the egg mixture over the top.
  • Bake in the hot oven until golden and bubbling, approximately 45 minutes.
