Sausage pasta bake

This dish is freezer-friendly for convenient future meals, perfect for busy days or when you crave a homemade meal over takeout.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 50 g mature Cheddar cheese
  • 50 g stale bread
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • olive oil
  • 4 higher-welfare sausages
  • 1 pinch of dried chilli flakes
  • 3 x 400 g tins of quality plum tomatoes
  • 400 g dried rigatoni
Instructions:
  • - Preheat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF/gas 6. - Finely slice the garlic and grate the Cheddar. Tear the stale bread into small chunks or blitz in the food processor. - Place breadcrumbs in a bowl with a sliced garlic clove, oregano, grated cheese, salt, pepper, and a drizzle of oil. Mix well. - Remove sausages from their skins, shape into balls, and place in an ovenproof dish. Drizzle with oil and bake for 10 minutes until golden. - Heat oil in a pan, add sliced garlic, oregano, and chili flakes. Cook until garlic is golden, then add tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes. - Cook rigatoni al dente, drain, and place in a baking dish. Add sausage balls, tomato sauce, mix well. - Sprinkle with cheesy crumb mix and bake for 15 minutes until golden and bubbly. Enjoy!
