Elevate holiday stuffing with Tater Tots® for a delicious twist on a classic dish.
Ingredients:
  • 16 ounces lean hot bulk sausage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 ounces button mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried sage
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup mashed potato flakes
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (28 ounce) package frozen bite-size potato nuggets (such as Tater Tots®)
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for a perfect bake.
  • 1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. 2. Add crumbled sausage and cook until browned, approximately 5 minutes. 3. Incorporate onion, mushrooms, and celery; sauté for an additional 5 minutes. 4. Stir in garlic, sage, and rosemary; cook for 2 minutes. 5. Remove skillet from heat.
  • In a large bowl, combine chicken broth, potato flakes, and eggs until smooth. Stir in sausage mixture, Tater Tots®, and parsley. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch glass casserole dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the stuffing is fully cooked and lightly browned, approximately 45 minutes. Switch the broiler to high and broil until the tots are crispy, around 3 minutes.
