Fun and simple griddle scones with a touch of sweetness, perfect for kids to join in and use fun cookie cutters.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • salt
  • 0.75 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup raisins
  • 1 egg
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Rub in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs, then mix in raisins. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and milk, then add to the dry ingredients to form a soft dough.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out scones with a floured cutter, rerolling the dough as needed to make 12 scones.
  • Preheat non-stick griddle over medium heat. Cook scone on both sides until golden brown and slightly raised, then cool on a wire rack.
