Grill up delicious sesame-crusted lamb patties for a quick mid-week meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 250.00 ml fresh breadcrumbs
  • 600g lamb mince
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 125.00 ml chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 49.50 gm sesame seeds
  • 36.40 gm olive oil
  • 125.00 ml Greek Style Yoghurt
  • 42.00 gm lemon juice
  • 36.00 gm tahini
  • 75g baby spinach
  • 4 radishes, trimmed, thinly sliced
  • 400g can chickpeas, drained, rinsed
  • Lemon wedges, to serve
Instructions:
  • Mix together cumin, coriander, breadcrumbs, minced meat, garlic, onion, and half of the fresh mint in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Shape the mixture into 8 equal portions, form them into balls, and gently flatten them. Arrange the patties neatly on a plate. Spread sesame seeds on a separate plate. Coat each patty with sesame seeds on both sides, then place them back on the plate.
  • Preheat a barbecue hotplate to medium-high heat and drizzle with half of the oil. Cook patties for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden and fully cooked.
  • Mix together yoghurt, juice, and tahini in a small bowl. In a separate medium bowl, combine spinach, radish, chickpeas, remaining mint, and oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Present the lamb patties alongside a refreshing chickpea salad, drizzle with tahini yoghurt, and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
