Versatile and delicious, this recipe is a pantry staple favorite. Easy to customize with yams, corn, or cheese soup for a tasty twist!
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
  • 3 potatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced into rings
  • 2 carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 (15 ounce) can green peas, with liquid
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can water
  • 1 pound pork sausage, sliced and browned
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a 9x13 inch baking dish coated with a hint of oil, arrange layers of rice, potatoes, onion, carrots, peas, sausage, and pour tomato soup mixed with water. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes covered, then uncover for an additional 5 minutes until fork tender.
