Vibrant green sweet popcorn perfect for St. Patrick's Day festivities!
Ingredients:
  • 16 cups popped popcorn, or more to taste
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup light corn syrup
  • 16 drops green food coloring
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 250 degrees F (120 degrees C), then spread popcorn in 1 large or 2 smaller greased roasting pans.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt together brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and food coloring. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil. Allow it to boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Take the saucepan off the heat and add vanilla extract and baking soda, stirring as the mixture foams up and settles down.
  • Coat popcorn by pouring mixture over it and stirring well.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Remember to stir the popcorn as it cools to prevent clumping.
