Bake General Tso's chicken on a sheet pan for a healthier, less messy version of the Chinese favorite. Sweet, spicy, and full of flavor, this dish rivals takeout and is perfect served over rice.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 package (20 oz) boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon natural rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seed
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F and coat a large rimmed sheet pan with cooking spray. Drizzle melted butter onto the pan, swirling to coat evenly. Combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, and ginger in a small bowl. Season chicken thighs with the salt mixture and arrange them in the pan. Roast for 15 minutes, then flip the chicken.
  • Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, chili garlic sauce, and sesame oil in a large bowl. Add broccoli florets and toss to coat them. Using a slotted spoon, arrange the florets in a single layer around the chicken. Brush the chicken with the remaining soy mixture from the bowl.
  • Continue roasting until the chicken juices run clear when the thickest part is cut (reaching at least 165°F) and the broccoli is tender. Finish by garnishing with green onions and sesame seeds.
