Create mini blueberry pies with ready-made pie crusts and frozen blueberries for a simple and delicious treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pie crust pastries
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 0.25 cup turbinado sugar (such as Sugar in the Raw®)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Lay out pie crust pastries and use a 5-inch round cutter to create rounds. Fill each round with 1 tablespoon blueberries, sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon sugar over them, and finish with a dusting of cinnamon for extra flavor.
  • Fold the dough over the filling, sealing the edges by pressing with a fork. Place the hand pies on a baking sheet, brush the tops with beaten egg, and sprinkle with turbinado sugar.
  • Bake until golden brown in a preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes.
