Decadent pork chops on cinnamon-spiced apples, glazed with sherry. Bake to perfection. Enjoy heartily.
Ingredients:
  • 6 pork chops
  • 3 large apples - peeled, cored and sliced
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup dry sherry
Instructions:
  • Brown the chops in a large skillet for about 2 minutes on each side; then set aside.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it nice and toasty for your delicious creation.
  • Layer apple slices in a 9x13 inch baking dish, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Dot with butter or margarine, add browned pork chops, season with salt and pepper, and pour sherry over everything. Cover and bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour until tender and internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
