Elevate chicken kabobs with zesty lemon juice and tangy pomegranate syrup for a taste of Lebanon.
Ingredients:
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • salt to taste
  • 8 large cloves garlic, chopped, or more to taste
  • 0.5 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, or more to taste
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, or more to taste
  • 2 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar, or more to taste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon ground allspice
  • 1 tablespoon ground sumac
  • 0.125 teaspoon pomegranate syrup
Instructions:
  • Season chicken breasts generously with salt. Cut each breast into 3 to 4 pieces and transfer to a large bowl. Mix in garlic, then add olive oil, apple cider vinegar, red wine vinegar, white balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, allspice, sumac, and pomegranate syrup. Combine all ingredients thoroughly using your hands.
  • Cover the flavorful chicken mixture with plastic wrap, ensuring it touches the surface to eliminate any air pockets. Let it chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill with 2 grill baskets and the cover closed for 10 minutes. Divide the chicken evenly between the baskets and grill until golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes per side.
