Eggless shortbread cookies: Easy, adorable, and homemade pecan sandie-style treats.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups butter, softened
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 pound pecan halves
  • 0.25 cup powdered sugar, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend together butter, cream cheese, and sugar until smooth. Stir in flour until fully incorporated.
  • Shape dough into bite-sized 1-inch balls and place them on baking sheets without greasing.
  • - Bake in the preheated oven until the bottom is lightly browned, for about 10 to 13 minutes. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute, then transfer to a wire rack to cool for another 8 to 10 minutes. Top each cookie with a pecan half and dust with powdered sugar.
