Create holiday shortbread chocolate balls with only 7 ingredients for a delightful gift.
Ingredients:
  • 150g (1 cup) plain flour
  • 90g (1/2 cup) rice flour
  • 150g butter, chopped
  • 80g (1/2 cup) icing sugar mixture
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • 200g dark chocolate melts
  • Red sprinkles, to serve
  • White sprinkles, to serve
  • Green sprinkles, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 160C/140C fan-forced and grab a large baking tray lined with baking paper.
  • Combine flours, butter, sugar, and vanilla in a food processor until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Transfer to a clean surface and use your hands to form a dough. Roll mixture into tablespoon-sized balls and place on a baking tray. Bake for 25 minutes until bases are light golden. Allow to cool completely on the tray.
  • 1. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds with a metal spoon, until melted and smooth (about 11⁄2 minutes). 2. Drizzle a teaspoon of the melted chocolate over each ball, letting it cascade down the sides. 3. Sprinkle tops with sprinkles and let them rest for 30 minutes until the chocolate sets.
