Delightful bunny rabbit cupcakes sure to be a hit at your spring gathering!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • Red food color
  • 2 bags (6 oz each) assorted flavor stretchy and tangy taffy candies (strawberry and grape)
  • 48 purple candy-coated chocolate candies
  • 48 miniature chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and line 24 regular-size muffin cups with paper baking cups. Prepare cake mix as instructed on the box for 24 cupcakes. Allow cupcakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Let them cool completely for about 30 minutes before serving.
  • In a medium bowl, blend frosting with 14 drops of red food color until evenly tinted. Remove paper baking cups from cupcakes and place them upside down on a serving platter.
  • Decorate cupcakes with pink frosting. Cut bunny ears, feet, and tail shapes from strawberry and grape taffy candies. Stack grape taffy on top of pink taffy to create ears. Place firmly on cupcake. Slide strawberry taffy cutouts under cupcake for feet. Mold a small taffy ball for the tail and press onto the back of the cupcake. Press chocolate candy onto face and use frosting to attach miniature chocolate chips for eyes.
