One-pot stout braised beef short ribs for tender and flavorful meat with onions and garlic.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound beef short ribs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle stout beer
  • 1 cup beef stock
Instructions:
  • Assemble all your ingredients.
  • Season the ribs generously with salt and pepper, then coat them in flour ensuring they are completely covered and gently shake off any extra flour.
  • In a Dutch oven or large skillet over medium-high heat, warm olive oil and butter until sizzling. Sear ribs on each side until golden brown, for approximately 5 minutes per side. Transfer ribs to a plate and keep aside.
  • Sauté onion and garlic in the pot until onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Add ribs back to the pot and deglaze with beer, scraping up the flavorful browned bits. Pour in beef stock.
  • Simmer ribs gently until they are melt-in-your-mouth tender, approximately 2 hours with the lid on.
  • Indulge and savor every bite!
