Zesty lemon butter elevates broiled chicken breasts for a delicious and easy meal.
Ingredients:
  • nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 0.125 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Instructions:
  • Position the oven rack 4 to 6 inches away from the heat source and preheat the broiler. Grease a broiler pan with cooking spray.
  • Mix together butter, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl until fully combined.
  • Lay the chicken on the prepared pan and generously brush it with half of the flavorful butter mixture.
  • Place in the oven on broil setting for a total of 12 minutes, flipping halfway through and basting with remaining butter mixture. Chicken should be fully cooked, not pink in the center, with clear juices and an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C) when tested with a thermometer.
