Cook Time:
Indulge in a rich and savory cheese fondue, perfect for cozy winter gatherings.
Ingredients:
  • 250ml white wine
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 200g gruyere
  • 200g cheddar cheese
  • 20 pieces day-old woodfired bread, toasted or chargrilled, cut into pieces
  • 125g mascarpone
  • 1-40.00 ml kirsch (see note)
Instructions:
  • Submerge 20 wooden skewers in cold water for 15 minutes. Serve with paprika and rocket leaves on the side.
  • In a saucepan over medium-low heat, simmer wine and garlic until reduced by half, about 5-6 minutes. Stir in gruyere and cheddar until melted and mixture is smooth. Brush bread with oil, skewer, and grill until crispy and golden.
  • Combine the mascarpone with the fondue, mix in the kirsch to your liking, and pour in boiling water until a silky consistency is achieved. Finish with a sprinkling of paprika and enjoy with bread and rocket leaves.
