Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic, or more to taste
  • 1.5 cups 2% milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 0.5 teaspoon cornstarch
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over gentle heat, warm olive oil. Sauté garlic until fragrant, for about 1 to 2 minutes. Pour in milk, salt, and pepper; stir continuously until simmering, approximately 2 minutes.
  • Combine water and cornstarch in a bowl, whisking until smooth. Pour the mixture into the sauce, stirring constantly until it thickens to your liking, which should take 3 to 5 minutes.
