Siopao Chicken and Pork Filling

Create succulent Filipino siopao with a flavorful filling of pork, chicken thighs, garlic, and soy sauce for a delicious steamed bun delight.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2.25 pounds pork loin, diced
  • 2.25 pounds chicken thighs, deboned and diced
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a wok over medium-high heat, saute onion and garlic in olive oil until onion is translucent, around 5 minutes. Stir in pork and chicken, cooking until lightly browned, about 5 more minutes. Add soy sauce and sugar, mixing well. Season with salt and pepper, then simmer until meat is cooked through and mixture is nearly dry, approximately 10 minutes. Allow the mixture to cool before using as a siopao filling.
