Elevate your dinner with our simple and delicious stove top chicken Parmesan made with Bisquick™ – perfect for weeknights or a special date night.
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (4 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
  • 2 cups Muir Glen™ organic Italian herb pasta sauce (from 25.5 oz jar)
  • 1 cup shredded Italian cheese blend (4 oz)
Instructions:
  • Combine Bisquick mix, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese in one dish. Beat the egg in another dish. Coat the chicken in the Bisquick mixture, dip it in the egg, then coat it once more in the Bisquick mixture.
  • Heat oil in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 4 to 6 minutes, turning once, until golden brown. Cover and continue cooking for 8 to 10 minutes longer, turning once, until chicken juices run clear and thickest part reaches 170°F. Transfer chicken from skillet to a plate.
  • Pour the pasta sauce into the skillet. Lay the chicken on top of the sauce. Sprinkle with a blend of Italian cheeses. Cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until bubbly and the cheese has melted.
