Score big with this basketball-themed taco dip, perfect for game day or any basketball-themed party!
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground beef (at least 80% lean)
  • 1 package (8.8 oz) Old El Paso™ Stand 'n Stuff Taco Dinner Kit
  • 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
  • 2 cups finely shredded cheddar cheese (8 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 3/4 cup chopped tomatoes
Instructions:
  • In a nonstick skillet, sauté beef over medium-high heat for 6 to 7 minutes until cooked through; drain excess fat. Add 2/3 cup water and taco seasoning from the dinner kit; bring to a boil. Simmer uncovered for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  • Place the beans and 1/2 cup of cheese in a small microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave on High for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring halfway through, until heated through. Spread the bean mixture on a 10- to 12-inch round platter, then spread the seasoned beef mixture over the beans carefully.
  • In a small resealable plastic bag, add 2 tablespoons of the taco sauce from the dinner kit and set aside. Spread the remaining taco sauce over the beef mixture, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, and the remaining 1 1/2 cups of cheese. Cut a small corner of the bag and pipe the reserved taco sauce onto the cheese to create basketball seams.
  • Bake taco shells from dinner kit following the package instructions. Fill shells with layered taco mixture to serve.
