Tender slow-cooked Mexican shredded beef, perfect for easy and delicious tacos.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds boneless beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 0.25 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 (14 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 0.25 cup chili powder
Instructions:
  • Add the roast, onion, bay leaves, black pepper, garlic powder, and vinegar to a slow cooker, ensuring the ingredients are fully submerged in water. Cook on High until the meat is tender and easily shredded, approximately 4 hours.
  • Take out the meat from the slow cooker and discard the liquid. Shred the meat using a fork and knife, then mix in tomato sauce, chili powder, and salt. Cover and cook on High for an extra 2 hours.
