Overnight wine-infused beef stew slow-cooked to perfection for a savory family dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 1 serving cooking spray
  • 2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
  • 1 tablespoon cracked black pepper
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1.5 cups red wine, or more to taste
  • 1 (12 ounce) package baby carrots
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cut crosswise into 1/4-inch strips
  • 3 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon seasoning salt (such as Johnny's®)
  • 2 bay leaves
Instructions:
  • Grease the slow cooker with cooking spray and then add the meat.
  • Combine flour, pepper, and salt in a small bowl. Pour over the meat and mix well to coat. Add potatoes, red wine, carrots, bacon, celery, onion, garlic, seasoning salt, and bay leaves, stirring to combine.
  • Slow cook on Low for 10-12 hours or on High for 4-6 hours.
