Slow cook seasoned chicken with veggies and spicy jalapeños for a flavorful Creole-inspired dish.
Ingredients:
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Creole-style seasoning to taste
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, with liquid
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
Instructions:
  • Simply add chicken breasts to the slow cooker and generously season with salt, pepper, and Creole-style seasoning. Mix in tomatoes with their juices, celery, bell pepper, garlic, onion, mushrooms, and jalapeño pepper for a burst of flavor.
  • Slow cook for a tender 10 to 12 hours on Low heat, or speed up the process with just 5 to 6 hours on High heat.
