Tender chicken cooked slowly in creamy Italian dressing sauce, served with egg noodles.
Ingredients:
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
Instructions:
  • Add the chicken to the slow cooker crock, drizzle with 2 tablespoons of melted butter, and sprinkle with Italian dressing mix for irresistible flavor.
  • Cover and cook on High for 3 hours until done.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Sauté the onion and garlic until soft, about 5 minutes. Add the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and cream cheese. Pour this mixture over the cooked chicken in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and simmer on low heat until the chicken is tender and the sauce has thickened, approximately 1 more hour.
