Satisfy a crowd with this effortless slow cooker French onion chicken melt. Tender chicken infused with rich flavors, topped with melted cheese. Versatile dish for sandwiches, dips, tacos, pasta, or even pies. Minimal prep, cooks while you relax.
Ingredients:
  • 1.2kg chicken breast fillets
  • 2 x 250g pkts cream cheese, at room temperature, chopped
  • 120g (1 1/2 cups) grated tasty cheese
  • 40g sachet French onion soup mix
  • 4 shortcut bacon rashers, cooked, chopped
  • 40.00 ml chopped chives
Instructions:
  • Add the chicken, cream cheese, and 80g (1 cup) tasty cheese to the slow cooker. Sprinkle the French onion soup mix on top and pour in 125ml (1/2 cup) water. Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours.
  • Shred the chicken using 2 forks, then mix it with the other ingredients to coat. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese, cover, and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  • Garnish with crispy bacon and fresh chives before serving.
