Slow cooker honey chicken with only 5 ingredients - perfect for kids!
Ingredients:
  • 8 (about 1.5kg) chicken thigh cutlets, skin on
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) Dark & Bold Honey
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) light soy sauce
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) tomato sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Fresh coriander sprigs, to serve
  • Steamed greens (such as baby bok choy and snow peas), to serve
  • Steamed jasmine rice, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Place half of the chicken in the pan, skin-side down. Cook for 3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes. Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining chicken.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, tomato sauce, and garlic.
  • 1. Pour enough water into the slow cooker to just cover the base. Place the chicken, skin-side up, in a single layer. Brush generously with the sauce mixture, then pour in the rest of the mixture.
  • Cook the chicken on Low for 6 hours, gently flipping halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Season chicken generously with aromatic coriander and present alongside vibrant steamed greens and fluffy rice.
