Tender pork rib tips slow-cooked in smoky BBQ sauce, caramelized until sticky under the broiler.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 pound pork rib tips
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle BBQ sauce, divided
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, chili powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add rib tips and coat thoroughly. Allow to rest at room temperature for 10 minutes before proceeding.
  • Add the ribs to the slow cooker. Combine 3/4 of the BBQ sauce with liquid smoke in a bowl until mixed well. Pour the sauce over the ribs evenly.
  • Slow cook the ribs until they are tender, approximately 4 to 6 hours.
  • Position an oven rack 6 inches below the heat source and preheat the broiler. Cover a baking tray or broiler rack with aluminum foil.
  • Transfer the ribs to the prepared tray and generously brush with the remaining BBQ sauce.
  • Broil ribs until sauce is hot and sticky, about 3 to 5 minutes per side.
