Transform a pork roast into irresistible pulled pork - ideal for game night! Serve with soft rolls and tangy coleslaw.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (3 1/2) pound pork butt roast
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons coriander
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 cups Heinz Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 cup Heinz® Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 0.5 cup fancy molasses
  • 0.33333334326744 cup Heinz® Mustard
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • Soft rolls
Instructions:
  • Trim excess fat and remove string from roast.
  • Mix chili powder with oil, pepper, cumin, coriander, paprika, allspice, salt, and garlic in a bowl to create a flavorful paste. Massage the spice mixture onto the pork, ensuring it is well coated. Refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes or overnight to marinate.
  • Place the roast in a slow cooker. Mix ketchup, vinegar, molasses, and mustard together. Pour the flavorful mixture over the roast.
  • Slow cook until fork-tender, for 8 to 10 hours.
  • Place the roast in a spacious bowl, removing any visible fat. Use two forks to shred the meat into long strands. Return the shredded meat to the slow cooker and mix well with the remaining cooking juices.
  • Strain out 1 1/2 cups of cooking juices and transfer to a saucepan. Whisk in cornstarch and bring to a boil. Stir and cook until thickened and bubbling. Serve meat on soft rolls and generously drizzle with the thickened sauce.
