Savory garlic and onion with tangy mustard and citrusy orange juice create a flavorful sauce for pork roast, resulting in effortless and mouthwatering pulled pork.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (5 pound) pork butt roast
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.5 cup orange juice
  • 1.5 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon stone-ground mustard, or more to taste
  • 1 large sweet onion (such as Vidalia®), chopped
Instructions:
  • Add the pork butt to the slow cooker with the fat side up. Pour in water and orange juice, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Combine minced garlic and tangy mustard in a small bowl, then generously spread this flavorful mixture over the pork butt. Next, top with a sprinkling of onion for added depth of flavor.
  • Slow cook until the pork easily shreds with a fork, turning occasionally, for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Once the pork is done cooking, let it cool for a bit. Remove any visible fat, then shred the pork into strands. Mix the shredded pork back into the juices in the slow cooker. Use a slotted spoon to serve portions of the delicious pork.
