Slow-cooked Parmesan meatballs in flavorful tomato sauce over steaming spaghetti - a simple and delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.75 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 0.25 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti
Instructions:
  • Combine crushed tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, flavorful oregano, fragrant basil, garlic powder, and a bay leaf in a slow cooker to create a delicious sauce.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, parsley, Italian seasoning, and pepper for the meatballs. Using your hands, gently but thoroughly mix until well combined. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and add them to the sauce in the slow cooker. Stir, cover, and cook.
  • Simmer on Low for 4 to 8 hours until meatballs reach internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • As the meatballs and sauce near completion, boil a large pot of lightly salted water. Cook spaghetti until al dente, about 12 minutes, then drain and serve alongside the sauce and meatballs.
