Easy slow-cooker cheesy manicotti perfect for any meal or party.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups finely chopped cooked chicken
  • 1 container (15 oz) whole-milk ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 14 uncooked manicotti shells (8 oz)
  • 1 jar (25.5 oz) Muir Glen™ organic tomato basil pasta sauce
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
Instructions:
  • Combine chicken, ricotta cheese, garlic salt, red pepper flakes, and 1/4 cup basil in a medium bowl. Transfer mixture into a quart-sized resealable plastic bag and snip off a 3/4-inch tip. Use the bag to fill the manicotti shells.
  • Prepare the 5-quart oval slow cooker by spraying it with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, combine pasta sauce and water. Spread one-third of the sauce mixture in the slow cooker. Arrange 7 filled manicotti shells in the sauce. Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top. Spoon another one-third of the sauce mixture over the shells. Place the remaining 7 filled manicotti shells on top and sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Finish by spreading the final one-third of the sauce mixture over the top.
  • Cover and simmer for 2 to 3 hours over high heat until the shells are tender. Garnish with the remaining 1/4 cup of fresh basil before serving.
