Slow-Cooker Hearty Steak and Tater Soup

Hearty beef and potato soup in a flavorful broth.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound beef boneless round steak
  • 1 pound small red potatoes, cut into 1/4-inch slices (4 cups)
  • 2 medium stalks celery, chopped (1 cup)
  • 2 medium carrots, chopped (1 cup)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1 tablespoon beef bouillon granules
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cartons (32 ounces each) Progresso™ beef flavored broth
  • 1 jar (6 ounces) sliced mushrooms, undrained
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • Dice the beef into 1x1/4-inch pieces, then combine it with all the other ingredients except for water and flour in a 5-quart slow cooker.
  • Cook covered on low heat for 8-9 hours.
  • Combine a mixture of water and flour in a small bowl and gradually incorporate it into the soup until well combined. Increase the heat setting to High, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes or until the soup has slightly thickened.
