Citrusy BBQ pork ribs: slow-cooked perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 5 lb pork baby back ribs, cut into 3-rib sections
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup frozen (thawed) orange juice concentrate
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
Instructions:
  • Prepare the slow cooker by spraying it with cooking spray. Preheat the oven to broil. Spray the broiler pan rack with cooking spray. Place the ribs on the rack and broil them with the tops 5 1/2 inches from the heat for 10 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Place the ribs in the slow cooker and cover them with the sauce.
  • Cover and simmer on low heat for 8 hours.
  • Transfer the ribs from the slow cooker to a serving platter and cover to keep them warm. Remove any fat from the cooking liquid in the slow cooker. Transfer the liquid to a 2-quart saucepan and cook over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until reduced to 1 1/2 cups. Serve the sauce with the ribs.
